About the Foundation

The Mensa Foundation is sharp! The Mensa Education & Research Foundation is a non-profit organization that's ALL about intelligence — rewarding smart people for being creative, learning why and how people are smart, and supporting activities that promote learning.

The Foundation does this by recognizing the BEST research into intelligence, the MOST innovative applications of intelligence, and OUTSTANDING teachers who encourage their gifted students. It also grants scholarships to high-school and college students across the country.

The Foundation also sponsors cool events like Colloquium, which anyone can attend for a weekend and learn about topics like gifted children, conservation and cosmology. Past Colloquiums have been about topics like science and society, medicine and the impact of the arts in our culture.

And finally, the Foundation encourages gifted children through projects like this Web site!

The Foundation does all of this through tax-deductible donations from both Mensans and non-Mensa members who want to support intelligence and education.
